What Westside Business Women Inc. is all about

Our aim is to promote and empower you and your business in our community.

We give you the opportunity to meet other business women in the local Westside Brisbane to Ipswich area and gain valuable business insight on how to improve and grow your business.

Our aims:

• to promote a strong network between our members
• to encourage trade and information sharing between our members
• to provide a voice for business women
• to enrich the lives of women through friendship to provide access to professional and personal development information
• to provide an avenue for the recognition of achievement of women in business

Meetings

Meetings are held at 7.00am on the last Wednesday of every month at Brookwater Golf Club and include breakfast, a guest speaker, and the opportunity to meet and interact with like-minded business women. We ask everyone to be seated by 7.30am so that the monthly topic can begin on time.

Registration and payment prior to the event is essential.

Cost:

Members $25.00 and non-members $30.00.

Membership

Annual fee $80.00 (for the membership year 1st July 2010 - 30th June 2011)

Some benefits of membership are:

• discounted entry to events including monthly breakfast meetings
• access to discounts offered within the network
• free use of Westside Business Women Inc's website to promote your business (including links to your email and website if desired)
• leadership opportunities through involvement in committee or sub-committees
• opportunity to network with other business women
• access to guest speakers on topics relevant to our members
• access to 'members only' areas on website, including member discussion forums to share ideas and 'Member Spotlight' to advertise your business on the front page. ('Member Spotlight' is not available at present and is intended as a future benefit of this organisation)
• opportunity to promote your business through events we either organise or participate in as a group
• opportunity to distribute promotional materials at Westside Business Women Inc's events, including monthly meetings
• opportunity to speak at our monthly meeting.... in 10 minute blocks within a group presentation, or appearing as the guest speaker for the entire time slot

In addition, should you choose to become actively involved in the committee, there are opportunities to meet and network with influential leaders in the community.
